Account Executive - Credit Unions

REMOTE

You will be responsible for building and managing a portfolio of new clients, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, and building strong and productive relationships with key stakeholders. We are seeking a dynamic Account Executive with experience working at a startup. Base compensation is $100,000 - $150,000 with significant, uncapped performance-based compensation. You can expect to make over $400,000 annually when you hit quota. You will report directly to the CEO.

About Us: Castellum.AI is an all-in-one solution for AML/KYC screening. We combine global risk data, a high-performance screening engine, and AI agents—all built entirely in-house. Our data covers sanctions, PEPs, adverse media, UBOs, and more. The screening engine is optimized for high-volume screening environments, offers advanced configurability and reduces alerts by up to 94% compared to legacy providers. And the AI agent assists with alert resolution, KYC alert closures, EDD/CDD, and additional use cases.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Consistently hit sales targets
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, generate leads and present solutions to prospective clients
  • Build and manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
  • Manage the sales process from lead generation to closing deals and negotiating terms
  • Conduct thorough research on client needs and market trends to develop customized proposals and sales strategies
  • 25% travel: travel to conferences to conduct sales. Conduct outreach and have a lead list ahead of attending.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and engineering to ensure we are building what clients will pay for
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and competitors to ensure we remain ahead of the curve
  • Maintain CRM and note-taking excellence
  • Provide regular reports and feedback to the team on sales activities, customer engagement, and market developments

You Should Apply If You:

  • Are comfortable getting hands-on in an early-stage startup environment and figuring things out yourself
  • Can work on zero-to-one projects without hand-holding
  • Have previous experience with Credit Unions and Verafin
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B sales
  • Have a strong understanding of sanctions and financial crimes compliance
  • Have a proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences and build strong relationships with clients.
  • Have excellent presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively to develop customized solutions.
  • Can work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Know Hubspot / other CRM tools and will take excellent notes
  • Are proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • This is a fully remote position. Our team is remote-first, and we are located in New York, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver and Bellevue. We all work EST hours.
